Winter Weather Reminders: Sun 2/22 - Mon 2/23

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area from 5pm Sunday 2/22 until 10am Monday 2/23.  Their forecast calls for several hours of rain, transitioning to a wintery mix and then to accumulating snow.  Due to the predicted rainfall, pretreatment of community streets was not advised as any pretreatment materials would be diluted and/or washed away.

In the event of measurable snowfall, the SSTA snow removal contractor will be in the neighborhood to plow community streets.  This does not include Huntsman Blvd, which is county operated. Nor does it include sidewalks or parking spots, which are resident responsibilities.  If we see additional snowfall, please remember to shovel your sidewalks for safe passage and to consider helping neighbors who may need assistance.

Thank you.

Community Feedback Requested -- DRAFT Rules & Regulations Guide

Dear Shannon Station Residents,

A Community Committee and the SSTA Board has been working over the past several months to update and modernize the SSTA Rules and Regulations Guide which was last updated in 2019. Our goal is to ensure the Guide is clear, current, and reflective of how our community lives today, while continuing to preserve the character and standards of Shannon Station.

We are pleased to share a Draft Version of the Updated Guide and invite all residents to review it and provide feedback. Your input is important to us, and we welcome comments, questions, or suggestions you may have.

How to provide feedback: Residents may submit feedback directly through our website:
https://www.shannonstationhoa.com/draftregs-feedback

We will collect feedback for two weeks, through Monday, January 26, after which the comments will be reviewed and the guide edited and adjusted accordingly.

We encourage residents to attend the upcoming HOA Board meeting on Monday, January 26, (7pm, Pohick Library) where the draft Guide and community feedback will be part of the discussion. All homeowners are welcome to attend, listen, and share input.

Thank you for taking the time to review the draft and help shape this important community document. We appreciate your engagement and continued commitment to making Shannon Station a great place to live!

Sincerely,
SSTA Board of Directors
